These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the websites, webinar and online workshop pages, registration forms, training materials, and related services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by The GlobalReady Academy Inc. (“GlobalReady,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who These Terms Apply To
These Terms apply to all individuals and organizations who access or use the Services, including:
- Visitors to GlobalReady Academy websites
- Individuals who register for or participate in webinars, online workshops, training programs, or events
- Participants in live or recorded sessions
- Clients, prospective clients, partners, and representatives acting on behalf of an organization
- Users accessing the Services from Canada, the United States, or other countries
If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
4. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. These Terms should be read together with the Privacy Policy.
5. Registration, Accounts, and Communications
Some Services require registration or account creation.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
You consent to receive service-related communications such as confirmations, access details, schedule updates, and training materials.
6. Webinars and Online Workshops
a) Delivery Platforms
Webinars and online workshops may be delivered using third-party platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar technologies. Platform features and availability may vary.
Use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies, which users are responsible for reviewing.
b) Recordings
Webinars and online workshops may be recorded for purposes including participant access, quality improvement, and internal training.
Recordings may include:
- Audio and video
- Participant names as displayed
- Chat messages or questions
By participating, you consent to such recordings, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy. Participants may disable cameras or microphones if they prefer not to be recorded.
7. Intellectual Property
All content provided through the Services, including training materials, presentations, recordings, documents, text, graphics, and logos (“Content”), is owned by GlobalReady or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Permitted Use
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Content for personal or internal organizational learning purposes only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Restrictions
You may not, without prior written consent:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or publicly display Content
- Share access credentials
- Record or redistribute sessions or materials
- Remove copyright or proprietary notices
- Use Content for commercial resale or competing offerings
8. User Contributions
If you submit content such as questions, chat messages, feedback, or other materials (“User Content”), you represent that you have the right to do so.
You grant GlobalReady a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use such User Content for operating, improving, and delivering the Services, subject to our Privacy Policy.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services in a manner that:
- Violates applicable laws or regulations
- Is harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or harassing
- Infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
- Introduces malware or security risks
- Misrepresents identity or affiliation
We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
10. Fees, Cancellations, and Refunds
Some Services may be offered at no cost. For paid Services, pricing and terms will be disclosed at registration or in a separate agreement.
Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable once access is granted, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply.
11. Third-Party Links
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. GlobalReady is not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
12. Disclaimers
The Services and Content are provided for educational and informational purposes only and do not constitute legal, engineering, financial, or professional advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GlobalReady shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.
GlobalReady’s total cumulative liability shall not exceed the greater of:
- The total fees paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim; or
- CAD $50, if no fees were paid
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GlobalReady, its directors, officers, employees, and contractors from claims arising from your misuse of the Services, breach of these Terms, or violation of applicable laws.
15. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time if these Terms are violated or if necessary to protect the Services, users, or GlobalReady.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
Any dispute shall be brought exclusively before the courts located in Ontario, Canada, subject to mandatory consumer protection laws.
17. General Provisions
- Severability: Invalid provisions do not affect the remainder
- No Waiver: Failure to enforce is not a waiver
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without consent
- Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement
